Abstract:When the common echo domain algorithms are used to suppress clutter in through-the-wall imaging, the clutter filtering is not thorough enough, resulting in the low signal to clutter ratio and target accuracy, which seriously affects the subsequent processing of target detection and recognition. To solve this problem, the distinguishing features of clutter pixels and target pixels are found in the image domain, and their discrete degree is quantified by coefficient of variation. The evaluation system of clutter suppression is constructed by image intensity and residual pixel mean. The clutter and the background pixel vectors with larger coefficient of variation are eliminated successively by main clutter suppression and target focusing, so as to obtain the final imaging result. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has good effectiveness and robustness, can significantly enhance the signal to clutter ratio, and make target imaging clear and accurate.
