大规模VRML虚拟场景的快速浏览算法

摘    要:对大规模VRML虚拟场景的优化方法进行了深入讨论,提出了一种简单的大规模VRML虚拟场景模型的快速浏览算法。通过建筑物位置和浏览者当前视点位置的判断,动态地调入和调出相关建筑物模型,仅仅将浏览者可见的视觉圆域内的建筑物调入VRML浏览器。该方法简单易行,不仅可以明显地提高大规模VRML虚拟场景的动态绘制速度,同时又大大地减少了浏览器对虚拟场景的下载时间。

Abstract:All kinds of optimization methods of interactive walkthrough of large VRML scenes were studied, and an efficient and simple algorithm of dynamic loading and rendering large VRML scene on Web was proposed, which could cull the visible VRML objects only within current AOI region. According to the positions of buildings and viewpoint, thus, VRML browser only upload the currently visible models into memory and remove the invisible objects from memory when viewer is moving in VRML scene. Experimental results also show the effectiveness of the algorithm to reduce the time of uploading and rendering a large VRML scene.
