STUDY OF THE SIMPLE METHOD FOR SPECTROPHOLOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF THE TOTAL NITROSAMINES IN DRINKING WATER |

| Abstract: | A simple method is proposed for determining the total nitrosamines in drinking water. the Sample is alkalized with NaOH for increasing total nitrosamines solubility in dichloromethane and removing interference of original nitrite ions in the water. The dichloromethane extract is dehydrated and co ncentraled with a large amount of solid Na_2SO_4.The nitrosamines can be successfully determined with Griess's reagent by spectrophotometry after photolysis by mercury lamp.The averaged recovery is 70—87.6% and is as good as other complicated methods. |
