Application of EIQ analysis method in books logistics center planning

The steps and application of EIQ(entry,item,and quantity) analysis method are introduced in details.In the process of the EIQ analysis,the quantity of each single order is analyzed by the EQ method,the number of each item is analyzed by the IQ method,the item of each single order is analyzed by the EN method,and the number of each item shipments is analyzed by the IK method.Taking the applications to the book logistics centre planning as an example,some significant results are obtained after the corresponding EIQ analysis.The shipment mode of the logistic center can be determined as a mode of small batch because 72.71% order quantity is between 1 and 120.The picking way of the logistic center can be determined as order picking and mass picking because 94.52% daily shipment item is less than 3500.Picking areas are divided in planning,and diverse goods are dealt with by classification.
