A Reflection on Japanese Sin Sense Based on Ento Shusaku's The Sea and Poison

Ento Shusaku is a well-known Japanese writer in modern time. There is a striking feature in his novel： Messages profound, the theme of sin and atonement is reflected mainly in sense of religion, particularly in Christianity. The sin discussed in the works of Ento Shusaku does not refer to the one of the legal sense as stealing, abducting and cheating but the religious one made by God unconsciously. This essay discusses the sense of sin among Japanese by analyzing the two characters in the novel The Sea and Poison.
