| Abstract: | Atun is a renowned painter of thangka painting in Tibet, and a chief heritor of new Mentang School. His work consists of painting, restoring and copying frescos for the temples and monasteries in Tibet, and he has trained a large number of disciples. Thus, he has contributed significantly to the inheritance of new Mentang School. The interview is mainly about the formation, history and painting style of the traditional Tibetan painting school, and the inheritance of it. |
