| 摘 要： | 索绪尔提出的语言符号的任意性原则在语言学史中占有非常重要的地位，但同时也存在着争议。本文主要通过对任意性的含义、任意性与可论证性关系的论述，指出争议所在，并试图揭示这一理论的内涵，加深对这一理论的理解。

| Abstract: | F de. Saussure's arbitrariness of linguistic sign is of great significance and of controversies as well in the history of linguistics. By discussing the impication of arbitrariness and the relation between the demonstrability and arbitrariness,the paper points out where are the controversies, and also attempts to reveal the theory of the connotation in order to deepen the understanding of it. |
