Liao Yan, a important writer and thinker from Qujiang, Guangdong in the early Qing Dynasty, had on international influence in the world. In China, however, the native research on him is week. In fact, we can benefit a lot from his corpus. For instance, it can correct some mistakes in works of others, and help for better understanding many significant phenomena in Qing poems.
