Translating of Signs: A Pragmatic Perspective

As a consequence of the increasing globalization, bilingual signs, a versatile component variety of written language for social communication, show up historically and responsively. Theoretically and practically, the study of translating signs-a distinctive genre stylistically-will inspire translators and scholars as well. Based on an analysis of the stylistic features of signs and the pragmatic failures in translating them, the paper offers an alternative remedy from a pragmatic perspective.
