| Abstract: | Without scientific computing software the teaching of theoretical mechanics today can not be imagined,Maple as a computer algebra software system has the obvious virtue that other software does not have.The Foucault 's pendulum is taken as an example in this paper to illustrate the unique role of Maple in the teaching of theoretical mechanics. |
