Abstract:The Ml0.75Mg0.25Ni3.5-xAlx(x=0.05~0.25) hydrogen storage alloys were prepared by magnetic levitation melting under an Ar atmosphere,and the effects of substitution of Al for Ni on the phase structure,hydrogen storage properties and electrochemical characteristics of the alloys were studied systematically.The results showed that the alloys are mainly consisted of the(La,Pr)Ni5 phase with the hexagonal CaCu5-type structure,(La,Pr)Mg2Ni9 and(La,Nd)2Ni7 phase.The Ml0.75Mg0.25Ni3.45Al0.05 alloy demonstrates the ...
