The Artistic Characters of Coleridge''''s Poetry

Coleridge, the English Romantic poet, hasn't acquired fair attention by the Chinese literary field for a long time. While taking his capacity of imagination, the psychological images he creates, as well as the spirit of tragedy in his poetry into consideration, he should have been regarded as the first-class poet in the English poetry history, even in the worldwide poetry history at large. This essay from the above-mentioned three aspects of his artistic characters, brings about its own opinions on the poet and his works, and furthermore concludes thatit's of literally historic importance to explore Coleridge from new perspectives.
