The literacy and capacity of subject librarian determine the quality of subject services.This paper discusses the capacities that the subject librarians should possess from several aspects of the cooperation capacity with other related staffs,strong capacity in information retrieval,information analysis,information organization and information push,the excellent communication and interpersonal skills,and the capacity of mastering new computer and network technology.
