摘    要:分析了SDH的混合数据传送方式,提出了一种变长分组和ATM信元在SDH的一个虚容器VC或光纤单个波长信道上混合传送的新方案,包括混合数据传送原理,变长分组传送的基本单位-通用组帧协议数据单元(UFPDU),混合协议数据单元(PDU)的定界、分离与识别等.该方案主要特色是提出的UFPDU标头与ATM信元标头的兼容性高,混合PDUs的定界、分离与识别简单,能有效地提高SDH或光纤单个波长信道的传输效率.计算机仿真了该方案的实时业务传送性能,指出了新协议的优缺点.

Abstract:On the basis of the analysis of the hybrid data transport over SDH,a novel hybrid data transport scheme of both variable length packets and ATM cells on a virtual container (VC-x) in SDH or a single wavelength in dark fiber is proposed,including the principle of hybrid data transport,the structure of basic transport unit or Unified Framing Protocol Data Units (UFPDU) for variable-length packets,and the delineation,separation and recognition of the mixed protocol data units (PDUs).The distinguishing features of the proposed scheme are that the header of the UFPDU is compatible well with the header of an ATM cell,the delineation,separation and recognition of the mixed PDUs are simple,and the transmission efficiencies of SDH and a single wavelength channel are increased effectively.The transport performance of the real-time services is evaluated by computer simulation.In addition,the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed protocol are presented.
