| 摘 要： | 就外延看，“形”指有形，“象”既可指有形，也包含无形。从实质层面看，形是既成而不能变化者，象是能变化者。形偏于“形状”义而不及内在之生机、生命、精神。或者说，形之内无“对”，形只与形之外的他者相对，形的动因往往被理解为形之“上”者、“前”者。象皆有“对”，即内含相反相成之“对”，故而“象”既指外形，也指内在之质、生机、生命、精神。形与视觉对应，象则是对内外之形的精神（对“感”）呈现。“象外无道”，及“形上”“形下”等观念正基于形与象内涵的差异。

| Abstract: | From the extension,Form only includes what is visible.Image includes both visible and invisible.From the intension,Form means unchangeable and Image means changeable.Form has not two opposite aspects in itself,and only opposes others.its cause is usually thought as transcendent.Image has two opposite aspects in itself.So Image refers to both form and material,life or spirit.Form corresponds to vision and Image corresponds to feel.Chinese basic ideas,such as "there is not Dao outside Image","those beyond forms",and "those below forms",are based on the difference between Form and Image. |
