Abstract:Heat transfer of flow boiling with the introduced inert gas and solid particles was studied in a vertical annulus. The results show that the heat transfer is enhanced, the superheat of the liquid at heating surface is decreased and the nucleate boiling is suppressed remarkably with the introduction of the inert gas and the soild particles. The process has shown a good performance in scaling mitigation as well.
