| Abstract: | Natural disasters, especially floods, occurred frequently in Qianjiang which was located in Jianghan Plain in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The natural disasters affected the population devepment of Qiangjiang, constrained the agricultural economy and the urban development, and brought the problems of displaced persons, unclear land boundaries, etc. |
