Research and Prospect on Porous Foam Metall

Porous foam metall is a new style function material.Because it has unique structure and performance, its application prospect in industry is very broad and quite optimistical. This paper introduces the research situation of preparing techniques and the performance of porous foam metall at home and aboard, and discusses its application in various fields and developing prospects. Our Institute is one of the leading units in the research of the porous foam metall in our country, and has made systematic investigation about preparing techniques and forming mechanism of foam metall, and acquired important success.
