| Abstract: | On the bases of the basic task of model-based diagnosis, its diagnostic procedure, its current research state and its main research domains, and the comparison of it with traditional diagnosis methods, the research significance of model-based diagnosis is revealed. The representative model-based diagnostic systems recently emerged are enumerated. The open problems of model-based diagnosis are also pointed out. |
