The Realistic Choice for the Mode of Urbanization of Yunnan Province

Urbanization is not only the main trend for social and economic development but also an important index to judge judge the modernization level of a country or region.On the basis of the reality of Yunnan Province,this paper first analyzes the current situation of the province's urbanization and the major existing problems.Then it propses that Yunnan Province should take the mode of "building all cities of big,medium and small sizes but laying stress on the development of medium-sized and small cities".Only this way can ensured the healthy development of Yunnan's urbanization and successful realization of the goal for the rural urbanization.
