Abstract:Pollen wall development of Cunninghamia lanceolata has been investigated with electron microscope. The development can be divided into three phases: mciosis, tetrad and free spore. The primary walls in the mciosis phase are thin and equal and their thickens constantly increase so that they present several layers. The intine is such development extremely in the area of the aperture that the papilla is formed. This paper suggests that the microsporc formed all layers of pollen wall except Ubisch bodies in Cunninghamia lanceolata.
