| 摘 要： | 习语和谚语是一个民族化与智慧的结晶，同时也是人民大众口头语典范的实寻。由于习语、谚语这一口语性质，他们的遣词造句特别讲究韵美和声律美，以使读起来琅琅上口，易读易背。本着重分析英语习语与谚语的节奏、韵律形式以及由此而的美感和语义功能。

| Abstract: | Idioms and proverbs are crystalization of culture and wisdom of a people. They are also the real reflection of people's spoken language. Due to their colloquial feature, the diction of them pays special attention to rhyming beauty and rhythm beauty so that they can be read smoothly and beautifully. In this paper, we mainly analyse the thythm, rhyming form of English idioms and proverbs and the rhyming beauty and semantic function resulted from them. |
