Abstract:Original and relaxed optimal controls for a class of nonlinear evolution equations with principal operator being the infinitesimal generator of a compact C 0-semigroup are studied. Under some reasonable conditions , the existences of original trajectories and original optimal controls are proved. Then we introduce corresponding relaxed controlled systems and consider existence and properties of relaxed trajectories. Further density of the set of original trajectories in the set of relaxed trajectories and a relaxatoin theorem are presented.
