| 摘 要： | English is particularly rich in synonyms for many reasons. Based on semantic similarity, synonyms are usually arranged into synonymic groups or sets. Some words are different in meaning; some words are different in emotional and stylistic colouring; Some words are different in collocation and distribution. So it is very indispensable to analyze the general methods of English synonyms.
