| Abstract: | The object-image transformations of Gaussian beams in a Kerr-law nonlinear large diameter step-index rod lens are analysed by using variational and numarical methods starting with Maxwell's equations.The effects of the beam power and nonlinear coefficient on the object-image transformations are discussed. |
