摘    要:乔姆斯基的句法理论侧重对英语句子的内在生成进行分析。该理论的相关原理如运用于高校英语教学,则可解释一些传统语法无法解释的语言现象,提高学生的句法结构认知能力,有助于取得良好的教学效果。

Abstract:Chomsky’s syntactic theory focuses on analyzing internal generation of English sentences.If relevant principles of the theory are applied to teaching of college English,they can explain some language phenomena that can’t be described clearly by traditional grammar.Then such a try in teaching of college English will improve students’ cognitive ability in sentence structures of English and help achieve good result of teaching.
