| Abstract: | In this paper, a sixth-order accurate compact finite-difference method for solving the Helmholtz equation in three dimensions is developed and analyzed. This scheme is based on a combination of second-order difference operator, and numerical experiments show that significant gain in terms ofcompution time and this scheme also has the expected accuracy. |
