We are now faced with an important change in improving the uses of microcomputers, in other words, a transition from single-processing to on-line processing and from single-user to multi-user. In the development of the microcomputer-based measuring, controlling and management system, a design of setting up a local area network has been adopted. According to the proposed design, only a little enlargement of the host computer system in both software and hardware is needed so as to realize the ability of measuring and controlling in real-time and the diversity of managememt, and in addition, to improve the stability and reliability of the system and the compatibility of the microcomputer
