慢科学:重返自主性还是文明化?

2010年前后,一批科学家发起慢科学运动,试图扭转以发表、竞争和晋升为导向的快科学文化。第一节首先回顾慢科学运动史。第二节论证快科学并非当代的产物,常规科学已是快科学。第三节指出慢科学运动的诉求本质上是自主性,后者在后常规处境中遇到了严重挑战。第四节考察斯唐热提倡的文明化的慢科学概念,她将其视为在新处境中重构知识可靠性的途径。最后指出,文明化的慢科学带有乌托邦色彩并蕴含民主诉求。

Slow Science:Return to Autonomy or Civilizing

Many scientists started the Slow Science Movement in 2010,based on their dissatisfaction with current fast science culture.First,the history of the Movement is reviewed.Second,it is pointed out that fast science is not new and normal science in Kuhnian sense is already fast science.Third,supporters of the Movement try to reclaim autonomy of science,which is seriously challenged in the post-normal situation.Next,a new conception of slow science proposed by Isabelle Stengers is presented.She thinks that slow science should be civilized science and treated as a way of reconstructing reliability of knowledge.Finally,civilized science seems utopian and implies the ideal of democracy.
