Neo-Confucianism again held a vital position in the academic world after the war in the initial years of the Nan Song Dynasty.Its academic perspectives and literature creation had a far-reaching impact on the poetry circle at that time.Under its influence,the classical poetic style in the late Tang Dynasty and the style of Tao Yuanming and Wei Suzhou was regarded as classical poetic model inherited directly from the Book of Odes.While the reservation and the elegance in the poetry creation became the two aesthetic standards in the Nan Song Dynasty.
