| Abstract: | Li Qinzhao had an unusual experience of life. She held that ci, a classical Chinese poetic genre, is different from what is generally named as poetry,and that ci should manifest its particular styles and artistic techniques different from those often found in poems. Therefore, she strictly followed the advice that poems must focuse on revealing aspiration while ci on revealing emotion, and manifested two different artistic styles in her poems and ci pieces.Her poems are generally of great momentum, full of bold talent and touching, whereas her ci pieces are of profound significance, mild and roundabout. |
