| Abstract: | We develop a method of analyzing the spectral data from quasar surveys. With this method, one can detect and measure absorption lines of quasars. The method is described in detail in this paper. In addition, we illustrate the method by identifying MgII absorption lines from the data of three quasars taken from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. |
