| Abstract: | Summary Introduction of a magnetic field that counteracts the vertical component of the earth's field, thereby creating a total  zero field is lethal to juvenile hornets and completely disrupts the comb-building orientation of adult hornets. This suggests that the terrestrial magnetic field is the main guideline for vespan building orientation. |
