摘    要:移动IPv6快速切换协议保证了最小的切换时延和尽可能小的切换开销,但对快速移动的主机,切换代价仍然很大.这是因为在新旧接入路由器间的隧道建立之前到达旧路由器的数据包将会丢失.针对这种情况,提出了一种改进的快速切换协议.为了降低数据包传输开销,改进的快速切换协议在前路由器端引入了一个缓存,存储转发到其他路由器的数据包.参照切换过程的时间表,对快速切换和改进的快速切换在数据包传送代价和缓存占用方面进行比较,最后得出结论,在前路由器端加入缓存可以大大优化切换性能.

Abstract:The fast handover protocol provides minimum handover latency and smaller handover cost.But in the case of the fast moving mobile host,it also incurs more cost.It is because packets arrival at previous access router will be lost before the tunnel is established.An advanced fast handover protocol is put forward.The advanced fast handover is an improved handover method according to the fast handover.To reduce the packet delivery cost,advanced fast handover introduces a buffer in previous access router.Therefore,it incurs more buffer space for the packets to be forwarded to other access router.The cost is formulated based on a timing diagram.The advanced fast handover is compared with the fast handover in terms of their packet delivery cost and buffer requirement.As a result,in the fast moving mobile host,the buffer is an important factor to consider in the optimization of handover performance.
