| Abstract: | Hydrophilic acrylamide (Am) and hydrophobic styrene (St) were initiated by AIBN in 1,4 dioxane to copolymerize. Poly (acrylamide stylene) was obtained as a precursor. Cationic quaternary poly (acry lamic lomethyldi(hydroxylethyl) benzylammonium chloride styrene) (P(AmMDHEBAC-St) and poly (acrylamido propyl trimethyl ammonium monomethyl sulfate styrene)P(AmPTMAMS-St] were synthesized from P(Am-St). The chemicalstructures of P(Am-st), P(AmMDHEBACI St) and P(AmPTMAMS-St) were characterized by EA, IR, and HNMR. |
