| Abstract: | Most investigaters believe that MgATP is bound,not to the Fe_4S_4~* center,but to some other part of Fe-Protein. Chemical-modeling studies of ATP-driven electron-transfer in nitrogenase reaction show that ATP can complex with Fe_4S_4~* Cluster.These resulting may be taken as strong evidence in support of the view that MgATP and Mg ADP are all coordinated to the Fe_4S_4~* center of the Fe-Protein,through some of PO_4 groups,rather than to other part of the protein. |
