Abstract:The probablities of occurrence of the synoptic system of such extraordinary storms as 638 and 758 in the area of Sanhua region of the Huanghe River are discussed in this paper, meanwhile, corresponding precipitation is estimated. Through the analysis of regional toposraphic features and synoptic climate, the transport range of possible extraordinary storms in the region and the position of storm centre are given. The principle and method for correction storm transposition are expounded. The calculated results can be applied as a reference in estimating PMP for large and medium-sized reserviors in Sanhua region.
