| Abstract: | The cyclic model of an irreversible heat transformer is presented and the optimal relation between the rate of heat pumping and the coefficient of performance of the heat transformer is derived;and then,by using the optimal relation to analyse a solar driven heat pump system,the optimal operating temperature of the solar collector and the overall coefficient of performance of the system are determined. |
