SET domain protein lysine methyltransferases: Structure, specificity and catalysis

Site- and state-specific lysine methylation of histones is catalyzed by a family of proteins that contain the evolutionarily conserved SET domain and plays a fundamental role in epigenetic regulation of gene activation and silencing in all eukaryotes. The recently determined three-dimensional structures of the SET domains from chromosomal proteins reveal that the core SET domain structure contains a two-domain architecture, consisting of a conserved anti-parallel β-barrel and a structurally variable insert that surround a unusual knot-like structure that comprises the enzyme active site. These structures of the SET domains, either in the free state or when bound to cofactor S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and/or histone peptide, mimicking an enzyme/cofactor/substrate complex, further yield the structural insights into the molecular basis of the substrate specificity, methylation multiplicity and the catalytic mechanism of histone lysine methylation. 蓬园100号锦橙少籽原因初探

蓬园100号锦橙品质好、种子少。细胞学观察染色体数目为2n=18。其少籽原因不是染色体数目异常,而是减数分裂中大量小孢子母细胞之间染色质穿壁导致遗传物质的分配不均和减数分裂异常,产生大量败育花粉粒所致。单核期是小孢子败育的主要时期。     

与细胞增殖相关的核仁杭原

用自制的抗核仁抗原的抗血清对其相应的核仁抗原(NAg-1)进行了研究.间接免疫荧光染色及细胞化学分析表明,NAg-1,可能是一种与DNA结合并与rDNA合成有关的酸性蛋白质.其在静止的人淋巴细胞和人正常非增殖组织中基本不表达或仅有微量表达,在人癌细胞和人正常增殖细胞中表达.并具有一定的种属特异性.NAg-1在快速增殖的HL-60细胞中表达的百分比大大高于缓慢增殖的细胞.随着HL-60细胞的密度增大,其细胞核仁抗原表达的百分比大大下降,说明NAg-1与细胞的增殖相关.     

大蒜根尖分生组织核仁纤维中心形态结构扫描电镜研究

报道了大蒜（Allium Sativum L.)根尖生分组织细胞核仁纤维中心（FC．）的亚微结构，为在扫描电镜下研究植物细胞核及核仁的形态结构提供参考资料。     

The effect of cycloheximide on nuclear uH2A content

Summary The effect of intraperitonal cycloheximide administration on acid-soluble rat liver chromatin proteins has been investigated by electrophoresis in acetic acid-urea polyacrylamide gels. A nonhistone protein, which migrates between oxidized histone H3 and histone H1 has been found tobe increased in amount following cycloheximide treatment. This protein seems to be identical with semihistone protein H24 (uH2A). A possible relationship of uH2A to the inhibition of rRNA synthesis is discussed.This work was supported by the Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council (TUBITAK) Project No. TAG 339     

X染色质体在正常人体细胞中出现概率的研究

本文采用X染色质的鉴别方法 ,研究了部分人群正常体细胞中X染色质体的出现概率 .结果表明　　三个实验群体的X染色质体的概率分别为 35 .2 1± 6 .6 2 %、33 .0 4± 9.33 %、2 6 .84± 8.5 8% ,它们之间差异不显　　著 (P >0 .0 5 ) .说明X染色质体在不同个体的相同组织中出现的情况有异 ,但差异不显著     

小麦染色体和间期集缩染色质孔洞及内在结构的观察

对小麦根端分生组织进行常规电镜观察的结果表明：小麦染色体和间期集缩染色质中均存在孔洞，里面有由颗粒和纤维构成的、类似于骨架的结构，对有关染色体骨架和染色质骨架之间以及它们与核基质之间的相互关系进行了讨论。
