经典遗传学为什么崛起于美国?——评美、德的不同社会环境对遗传学的影响

本文对经典遗传学产生的社会和历史渊源作出了社会学的和思想的考察,并加以深入的分析。     

What’s so special about model organisms?

This paper aims to identify the key characteristics of model organisms that make them a specific type of model within the contemporary life sciences: in particular, we argue that the term “model organism” does not apply to all organisms used for the purposes of experimental research. We explore the differences between experimental and model organisms in terms of their material and epistemic features, and argue that it is essential to distinguish between their representational scope and representational target. We also examine the characteristics of the communities who use these two types of models, including their research goals, disciplinary affiliations, and preferred practices to show how these have contributed to the conceptualization of a model organism. We conclude that model organisms are a specific subgroup of organisms that have been standardized to fit an integrative and comparative mode of research, and that it must be clearly distinguished from the broader class of experimental organisms. In addition, we argue that model organisms are the key components of a unique and distinctively biological way of doing research using models.

针对茶学专业《茶树遗传育种学》课程教学中存在的问题,通过经验总结,对课堂教学过程中教学内容、教学方式进行了改革,尤其是实验和实践教学环节;还采用了网络平台建设、增强科研实力等措施,增强该门课程的教学效果.通过改革课程教学内容及教学方式,改变了实验实习教学的模式,促进了学生学习的积极性和主动性,提高了该门课程的教学质量和效果.     

Genetics in medical school curriculum： A look at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry

Genetics is assuming an increasingly important role in medicine. As a result, the teaching of genetics should also be increased proportionally to ensure that future physicians will be able to take advantage of the new genetic technology, and to understand the associated ethical, legal and social issues. At the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, we have been able to incorporate genetic education into a four-year medical curriculum in a fully integrated fashion. This model may serve as a template for other medical curriculum still in development.

Genetic ecology: A new interdisciplinary science,fundamental for evolution,biodiversity and biosafety evaluations

Genetic ecology is the extension of our modern knowledge in molecular genetics to studies of viability, gene expression and gene movements in natural environments like soils, aquifers and digestive tracts. In such milieux, the horizontal transfer of plasmid-borne genes between phylogenetically distant species has already been found to be much more frequent than had been expected from laboratory experience. For the study of exchanges involving chromosomally-located genes, more has to be learned about the behaviour of transposons in such environments. The results expected from studies in genetic ecology are relevant for considerations of evolution, biodiversity and biosafety. The role of this new field of research in restoring popular confidence in science and in its biotechnological applications is stressed.     

基于GA的多层次概念归纳学习方法

面向属性的归纳学习(亦称概念提升)是一种广泛使用的知识发现方法。通过归纳学习,使得属性域取值的抽象程度提高,从而得到较精练的数据集合,大大提高了规则的学习效率。但是实际应用环境中的数据属性维数非常多,属性概念层次也非常复杂,基于集合论的传统学习方法的效率变得越来越低。基于遗传算法的高搜索性能,提出了一个概念空间的特征概念层次优化搜索方法,特别是处理高维、具有复杂概念层次的问题时收到了较好的效果。     

战役后勤基地(兵站)单位优化配置遗传算法设计

在战役后勤基地(兵站)配置位置确定的条件下,对单位配置的军事规则进行了量化描述,建立了合乎配置问题实际的目标函数,进而形成对应于遗传算法的适应度函数;建立了战役后勤部署单位优化配置的遗传算法模型,其简化的模型已在某战役后勤部署辅助决策支持系统中得到初步应用,取得了良好的配置效果,得到了军事专家的肯定。
