New ecological insight on two invasive species: Craspedacusta sowerbii (Coelenterata: Limnomedusae) and Dreissenia polymorpha (Bivalvia: Dreissenidae)

The ecology of polyps of Craspedacusta sowerbii has been poorly investigated. It is known that they live attached to hard surfaces. They have never been linked with any animal, in particular not with Dreissena polymorpha (zebra mussel), which is known to have only endosymbionts. This study was conducted in March 2004 in ?ingi-Lingi Lake. The lake is an oligo-mesotrophic man-made gravel pit in northeast Croatia. During this study, polyps were found singly or in colonies of two to five on willow twigs and on the shells of D. polymorpha collected from 8 m depth and on metal barrels. Brown hydra (Pelmatohydra oligactis) individuals were also present next to polyps of Craspedacusta on zebra mussel shells, collected from metal barrels. The presence of polyps of Craspedacusta and brown hydras together on live bivalve shells is significant, as we suggest that it marks the first record of commensalism of this kind.     

浙江淡水水母一新记录--宜昌桃花水母

在浙江兰溪采得淡水水母标本,标本伞径15～20 mm,主触手4条显著长于其他触手;生殖腺囊状,淡绿色;平衡囊135～144个,管状;刺丝囊长椭圆形,刺丝囊疣不规则排列,鉴定为宜昌桃花水母Craspedacustakawaii,为浙江省分布的新记录.     

陕西地区桃花水母的发现及描述

通过对陕西地区发现的桃花水母进行形态学特征的初步探讨,得到的形态学特征为:生殖腺呈扁囊状,淡黄绿色;触手分为3级,主触手比其他两级长;平衡囊管型,数量在132～184之间;刺丝囊疣为乳突状,各环状疣间有明显间隔,似分节状,这些特征与已报道的有差异;并对得到的可量化数据进行了统计分析,结果显示伞径与触手及伞径与缘膜的关系均呈显著正相关性,伞径与平衡囊相关性不大.     

中国桃花水母属的研究

讨论了桃花水母的发现、地理分布、生物学特征、个体变异、生殖、起源和保护,并记述了桃花水母属的所有种.到目前为至,桃花水母属已记录11种,中国有9种,广泛分布于18省76市、县.

报道了河南嵩山为信阳桃花水母Craspedacustaxinyangens在河南省内的又一新分布地．     

我国淡水水母一新种

1993年4月2日在湖北省秭归县归州镇采用淡水水母标本19个,形态结构与Craspedacusta sinensis相似,但刺丝囊疣低圆锥状,排列不规则;生殖腺囊状,大,褶皱,绿色。这些特征与C.sinensis有着明显区别。
