Effect of volatile anesthetics on the circular dichroism of bilirubin bound to human serum albumin

The characteristic circular dichroism of bilirubin bound to human serum albumin undergoes a remarkable sign inversion on addition of halothane, chloroform and other volatile anesthetics. This sign inversion, which is completely reversed by removal of the anesthetic, reflects a pronounced conformational change of the bound ligand; probably a complete inversion of chirality. The observation suggests that association of volatile anesthetics with proteins can markedly alter the internal topography of receptor sites and potentially influence the stereoselectivity of ligand binding.     

Effect of glucose administration on bilirubin excretion in the rabbit

Summary The effect of i.v. infusion of glucose on the hepatic handling of bilirubin was examined in rabbits. A significant increase in the excretion of conjugated bilirubin into the bile was observed, accompanied by a decrease in bilirubinemia. Hepatic bilirubin concentrations were lowered and the UDP-glucose concentrations and liver UDP-glucuronosyl and UDP-glucosyl transferase activities increased.     

Renal handling of bilirubin photoderivatives

Summary The renal handling of unconjugated bilirubin in the dark and during light exposure was analyzed using an isolated rat kidney preparation. The parameters tested were pigment disappearance from the perfusion medium, pigment uptake by tissue, and its renal clearance. The results indicated that despite the fact that pigment disappearance from the medium was similar for both forms of pigment, the extraction ratio was higher for irradiated pigment than for pigment in the dark. When renal clearance of pigment was plotted vs pigment uptake of tissue, the results indicated that irradiated pigment may be more efficiently removed by the kidney. In addition, data on the rate of secretion of p-aminohippurate suggested that both pigment forms shared a common site for secretion.13 August 1986Acknowledgments. Dissociation constants of water-insoluble carboxylic acids by13C-NMR. pK as of mesobiliverdin-XIIIα and mesobilirubin-XIIIα

High-field¹³C-NMR of¹³C-enriched compounds in dilute aqueousd ₆-Me₂SO solutions provides a simple, accurate method for measuring pK _as of sparingly soluble carboxylic acids. Using this method, we found the pK _as of mesobilirubin-XIII to be 4.2 and 4.9, much lower values than reported recently for bilirubin, and of mesobiliverdin-XIII to be 3.9 and 5.3.

Bilirubin sensor based on CuO-CdO composites deposited in a nafion/glassy carbon electrode matrixes

Copper oxide-cadmium oxide nanocomposites(CuO-CdO NCs) were synthesized by solvothermal technique in a basic medium. CuO-CdO NCs were characterized using conventional techniques, such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR), UV–Visible Spectroscopy(UV/Vis), Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy(FESEM), X-ray electron dispersive spectroscopy(XEDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), and powder X-ray diffraction(XRD). A selective and enzyme-less Bilirubin(BLR) sensor was developed with a thin-layer of NCs onto a glassy carbon electrode(GCE, surface area = 0.0316 cm~2) using 5% nafion binders at room conditions. Improved electrochemical performances of higher sensitivity, lower detection limit,linear dynamic range(LDR), and long-term stability of preferred BLR were achieved by a reliable currentvoltage(I-V) approach. The calibration curve was found linear(R~2= 0.9347) in a wide range of BLR concentration(10.0 pM ~ 10.0 mM). Based on the signal to noise ratio value of 3, the sensitivity and limit of detection(LOD) of the sensor were calculated as 95.0 pA μM~(-1) cm~(-2) and 1.0 ± 0.1 pM respectively.Solvothermally synthesized CuO-CdO NCs/GCE is an excellent advancement of developing a selective and sensitive BLR sensor by electrochemical approach and practically implemented in real sample applications.     

血浆胆红素吸附联合CRRT治疗高胆红素血症一例护理体会

针对高胆红素血症患者由于胆红素代谢引起的障碍,为阻止肝功能的进一步恶化,减轻胆红素、内毒素对肝功能的损害,研究采用血浆胆红素吸附（BA）联合连续肾脏替代疗法（CRRT）治疗一位重症高胆红素血症患者,疗效显著.基于该临床资料,总结得出了心理护理和术前、术中、术后的护理体会,着重观察、研究各项指标,总结得出了及时正确地处理各种报警的方法.BA联合CRRT治疗模式,充分发挥了两种治疗模式的各自治疗作用,同时相互弥补了两种治疗模式单独应用时的不足,能及时为高胆红素血症患者提供人工肝支持治疗,延缓疾病的发展,提高对肝功能衰竭患者的救治水平.     

蛋白质与胆红素相互作用的研究

本文利用纸上色谱法研究了牛血清白蛋白分子与胆红素作用的结合物，同时利用可见吸收光谱法比较了牛血清白蛋白和鸡清蛋分子分别在ＫＨ２ＰＯ４     

胆红素与胆绿素的电化学转化

利用动电位扫描法和控制电位电解法对铂电极上Ｎ，Ｎ－二甲基甲酰胺和二甲基亚砜中的胆红素与胆绿的电化学氧化和电化学还原进行了研究，实现了胆红素向胆绿素的电解氧化，提取了胆绿素的固化样品。
