Effect of succinate administered in combination with progesterone chlorpromazine and chloramphenicol on the stability of liver lysosomes of rats fed on different diets

Zusammenfassung Im Gegensatz zu Ratten bei Normaldiät, bei denen Sucinat einen Stabilisierungseffekt auf isolierte Leberlysosomen hat, vergrössert Succinat die Lysosomenpermeabilität bei Ratten mit einer Diät reich an Hefe oder ergänzt mit SH-Komponenten.     

Evaluation of the ability of intact platelets to accumulate acridine orange

A new approach to the evaluation of the uptake of fluorescent probes by intact cells is described. Acridine orange (AO) was used because it can be selectively accumulated by serotonin-containing granules of platelets. Analysis of the fluorescence signal allows the estimation of the relative volume of the granules and the equilibrium coefficients for AO transport across the cytoplasm and granule membranes. The following results were obtained for human and rabbit platelets: the relative volumes of the granules were 14 +/- 1% and 29 +/- 2%, the ratios of intragranular-extracellular probe concentration were 2260 +/- 382 and 30,000 +/- 5550, and the cytoplasm-extracellular medium concentration ratios were 375 +/- 60 and 225 +/- 60, respectively.

Electrophysiological study of interaural sound intensity difference in the dolphinInia geoffrensis

A wave observed in the auditory brainstem responses (ABR), sensitive to the side of sound presentation, is described in a dolphin (Inia geoffrensis). Dependence of the wave threshold on location of the sound source showed that the interaural intensity difference was more than 20 dB.     

TiN-Ti-DLC等多层复合膜的摩擦学性能研究

在一台УВНИПА－1型双激发源等离子弧薄膜沉积装置上制取TiN-Ti-DLC、及其含有软金属Cu或PTFE覆盖膜的多层复合涂层。摩擦磨损试验在一台球－盘滑动磨损试验机上进行。结果表明，以TiN和DLC膜为主体的多层复合涂层具有较高的摩擦学特性，过渡金属钛层、软金属和聚四氟乙烯覆盖层可以降低摩擦系数33％－50％，对磨擦表面磨损减少90％。     

Location of an acoustic window in dolphins

Summary Auditory brainstem response (ABR) to sound clicks from sources in different positions were recorded in dolphinsInia geoffrensis. The position of the acoustic window determined by measurement of acoustic delays. The acoustic window was found to lie close to the auditory meatus and the bulla rather than on the lower jaw.Study was performed at the IVITA Biological Station, Pukallpa, Peru unde the Agreement on Scientific Collaboration between the USSR Academy of Sciences and San Marcos National University, Peru.
