Effects of estradiol on the in vitro incorporation of acetate-1-14C and choline-1,2-14C into the phospholipids of human peripheral arteries

Zusammenfassung Bei Bebrütung von Arterien in Gegenwart von Östradiol wurde der Einbau von¹⁴C-Azetat und¹⁴C-Cholin in Phosphatidylcholin deutlich vermehrt.     

New scanning electron microscopy contribution to the study of yeast protoplasts]

Study by scanning electron microscopy enables us to describe with precision the morphology of protoplasts. We can confirm that the wrinkles more or less perceptible on the protoplasts studied, do belong to the morphology of those just mentioned, that the presence or the absence of globulous component is connected with the physiological activity of the cell and that it is possible to distinguish the different protoplasts thanks to their morphological aspect.     

Visceral localization of 14C gentamicin in the rat after administration of a single dose

When administered intravenously to Rats, 14C Gentamicin decreased very fast in all tissues, except in kidney and cartilage. Some flexures of the small intestine contained radioactive carbon, and that was evidence for the biliary elimination of a part of the aminoglycoside. In animals with water restriction, the distribution of the antibiotic in tissues was similar to the distribution in animals with free access to water.     

The influence of estradiol on the distribution of exogenous cholesterol-4-C14 in the rat

Zusammenfassung Vorbehandlung mit Östradiolbenzoat führte bei kastrierten männlichen Ratten zu einer verminderten Aufnahme von oral zugeführtem Cholesterin-4-C¹⁴ in die Aorta. Bei kastrierten wie auch bei intakten Tieren war nach Östrogenbehandlung die Aufnahme von markiertem Cholesterin in die Leber erhöht. Durch Analyse der Faeces liess sich nachweisen, dass Östrogenbehandlung sowie Kastration die Sterolausscheidung beschleunigt.
