Zusammenfassung In 2 von 7 Stämmen vonProteus rettgeri gelang die Induktion von Bakteriozinen unter der Einwirkung von Mitomycin C. Die gewonnenen Bakteriozine waren chloroformbeständig, trypsinresistent und hitzelabil.     

Two homologous protein components of hepatic gap junctions

Gap junctions consist of closely packed pairs of transmembrane channels, the connexons, through which materials of low relative molecular mass diffuse from the cell to neighbouring cells. In liver, connexons consist of six protein subunits which, until now, were believed to be identical. However, besides the major polypeptide of relative molecular mass (Mr) 28,000 (and see refs 4 and 6), a component of Mr 21,000 (21K) has been repeatedly observed in liver. The amino-terminal sequence (18 residues) of this less abundant protein shows that it is related to, but distinct from, the Mr 28K protein. Immuno-staining and immuno-precipitation show both proteins to be in the same gap junctional plaques. Thus, it seems that hepatic gap junction channels (and by extension possibly others) are composed of two (or more) homologous proteins.

基于小波与BP神经网络的太阳黑子时间序列分析预测

太阳黑子年平均数序列是典型的非线性、复杂时间序列.本文利用小波变换,将太阳黑子年平均数序列进行分解重构,对信号的周期特性进行分析,然后采用BP神经网络对重构信号进行预测,建立太阳黑子年平均数的预测序列.结果表明,该模型具有较高的预测精度.

Inhibition of induction of group A bacteriocins ofSerratia marcescens by rifampin

Zusammenfassung Rifampin blockierte die Induktion von Gruppe A Bakteriozinen in bakteriozinogenenSerratia marcescens Zellen; demnach scheint die Induktion dieser Bakteriozine auf funktionstüchtiger, DNS-abhängiger RNS-Polymerase der Wirtszellen zu beruhen. Rifampin hatte keinen Einfluss auf die Empfindlichkeit von Indikatorzellen auf Gruppe A Bakteriozine; demzufolge scheint die bakterizide Wirkung dieser Bakteriozine unabhängig von Proteinsynthese durch Indikatorzellen zu sein.     

Media-dependent antagonism of gentamicin sulfate by Liquoid (sodium polyanetholsulfonate)

Zusammenfassung Liquoid^® wirkt als Antagonist zu Gentamicin-Sulfat in Abhängigkeit vom jeweiligen Testnährmedium. Zugabe von frischem Serum bedingt im Gegensatz zu Polymyxin B keine Verstärkung seiner antagonistischen Wirkung gegen Aminoglykosid-Antibiotika.
