Summary A 2-dimensional thin-layer method has been developed for the separation on cellulose of adenine and guanine derivatives. Using incubated rat cerebral cortex slices it was shown that noradrenaline and acetylcholine stirnulated cAMP and cGMP production respectively but glutamate and -aminobutyric acid stimulated production of both cyclic nucleotides.  相似文献

A 3D porous carbon-manganese oxide ([email protected]) nanocomposite is successfully synthesized via a thermal plasma deposition method. The chemical bonds and compositions, phase structures, surface morphologies, etc. of as-obtained [email protected] nanocomposite were characterized by the various equipment, such as X-ray diffractometer, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and electron microscopes. The electrochemical performances of the [email protected] nanocomposite electrode showed a specific capacitance of 780 F g?1 at a current density of 2 A g?1 and a capacitance retention rate of 99% after 5000 charge-discharge cycles at a high current density of 10 A g?1. These excellent capacitive performances may be attributed to the encapsulation of MnO nanoparticles by porous carbon sheets in the [email protected] MnO nanocomposite structure. It is believed that the carbon-encapsulated MnO nanoparticles can be protected from a volume deformation during the charge adsorption/desorption cycle and can be electrically improved by the encapsulated carbon sheets, resulting in better overall capacitive performance. In addition, this study also demonstrates the practical applicability by assembling a supercapacitor using the as-obtained [email protected] nanocomposite to glow a light emitting diode.  相似文献

This paper uses the dynamic factor model framework, which accommodates a large cross‐section of macroeconomic time series, for forecasting regional house price inflation. In this study, we forecast house price inflation for five metropolitan areas of South Africa using principal components obtained from 282 quarterly macroeconomic time series in the period 1980:1 to 2006:4. The results, based on the root mean square errors of one to four quarters ahead out‐of‐sample forecasts over the period 2001:1 to 2006:4 indicate that, in the majority of the cases, the Dynamic Factor Model statistically outperforms the vector autoregressive models, using both the classical and the Bayesian treatments. We also consider spatial and non‐spatial specifications. Our results indicate that macroeconomic fundamentals in forecasting house price inflation are important. Summary Viscero-somatic reflexes have been studied by recording monosynaptic reflexes following distension of the urinary bladder in intact, decerebrate and spinal animals. It was observed that the viscero-somatic responses following bladder distension are inhibitory in nature and this inhibition was highest in decerebrates and least in spinal animals. The site of viscero-somatic interaction probably lies in the bulbar area (supraspinal) and spinal cord.Acknowledgment. Novel dominant mutations in Saccharomyces cerevisiae MSH6   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Inherited mutations in the mismatch repair (MMR) genes MSH2 and MLH1 are found in most hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC) patients studied. Eukaryotic MMR uses two partially redundant mispair-recognition complexes, Msh2p-Msh6p and Msh2p-Msh3p (ref.2) Inactivation of MSH2 causes high rates of accumulation of both base-substitution and frameshift mutations. Mutations in MSH6 or MSH3 cause partial defects in MMR, with inactivation of MSH6 resulting in high rates of base-substitution mutations and low rates of frameshift mutations; inactivation of MSH3 results in low rates of frameshift mutations. These different mutator phenotypes provide an explanation for the observation that MSH2 mutations are common in HNPCC families, whereas mutations in MSH3 and MSH6 are rare. We have identified novel missense mutations in Saccharomyces cerevisiae MSH6 that appear to inactivate both Msh2p-Msh6p- and Msh2p-Msh3p-dependent MMR. Our work suggests that such mutations may underlie some cases of inherited cancer susceptibility similar to those caused by MSH2 mutations.  相似文献
