The degree of stimulation of adenylcyclase activity, in membranes from immature red blood cells from rats, brought about by isoprenaline, guanylyl-imidodiphosphate and sodium fluoride is strongly dependent on the basal activity of the enzyme. The inversal relationship between basal activity and the maximal degree of stimulation by (--) isoprenaline, shows an apparent seasonal dependence.  相似文献

This paper addresses issues such as: Does it always pay to combine individual forecasts of a variable? Should one combine an unbiased forecast with one that is heavily biased? Should one use optimal weights as suggested by Bates and Granger over twenty years ago? A simple model which accounts for the main features of individual forecasts is put forward. Bayesian analysis of the model using noninformative and informative prior probability densities is provided which extends and generalizes results obtained by Winkler (1981) and compared with non-Bayesian methods of combining forecasts relying explicitly on a statistical model for the individual forecasts. It is shown that in some instances it is sensible to use a simple average of individual forecasts instead of using Bates and Granger type weights. Finally, model uncertainty is considered and the issue of combining different models for individual forecasts is addressed.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung In der Oberflächenaktivität des Prenylamins, bedingt durch den lipophilen Diphenylpropylanteil des Moleküls, wird die Ursache dafür erblickt, dass hohe Konzentrationen zur Freisetzung von Brenzcatechinaminen aus chromaffinen Granula sowie von Hämoglobin aus Erythrocyten führen. Elektronenmikroskopische Aufnahmen zeigten schwere Membranschädigungen der mit Prenylamin inkubierten Granula. Prenylamin hemmte bzw. verhinderte die Hämolyse der in hypotonischer Salzlösung suspendierten Erythrozyten. Ein gemeinsamer Mechanismus, der sowohl die granulolytische und hämolytische als auch die protektive Wirkung auf Granula- und Erythrozytenmembran erklären könnte, wird diskutiert.  相似文献

Allergies are generally thought to be a detrimental outcome of a mistargeted immune response that evolved to provide immunity to macroparasites. Here we present arguments to suggest that allergic immunity has an important role in host defence against noxious environmental substances, including venoms, haematophagous fluids, environmental xenobiotics and irritants. We argue that appropriately targeted allergic reactions are beneficial, although they can become detrimental when excessive. Furthermore, we suggest that allergic hypersensitivity evolved to elicit anticipatory responses and to promote avoidance of suboptimal environments.  相似文献

Traditionally latent class (LC) analysis is used by applied researchers as a tool for identifying substantively meaningful clusters. More recently, LC models have also been used as a density estimation tool for categorical variables. We introduce a divisive LC (DLC) model as a density estimation tool that may offer several advantages in comparison to a standard LC model. When using an LC model for density estimation, a considerable number of increasingly large LC models may have to be estimated before sufficient model-fit is achieved. A DLC model consists of a sequence of small LC models. Therefore, a DLC model can be estimated much faster and can easily utilize multiple processor cores, meaning that this model is more widely applicable and practical. In this study we describe the algorithm of fitting a DLC model, and discuss the various settings that indirectly influence the precision of a DLC model as a density estimation tool. These settings are illustrated using a synthetic data example, and the best performing algorithm is applied to a real-data example. The generated data example showed that, using specific decision rules, a DLC model is able to correctly model complex associations amongst categorical variables.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Nach oraler Verabfolgung von14C-Prenylamin (Segontin®) an Ratten werden nur Spuren des unveränderten Pharmakons im Harn ausgeschieden. Folgende Metabolite (ca. 40% der ausgeschiedenen Radioaktivität) wurden identifiziert:p-Hydroxyprenylamin, Amphetamin,p-Hydroxy-amphetamin, Norephedrin undp-Hydroxy-norephedrin. Auch beim Menschen konnte nach zweitägiger Behandlung mit Segontin® in therapeutischer Dosierung das Auftreten geringer Mengen von Amphetamin im Harn nachgewiesen werden.  相似文献

To understand the origin of superconductivity, it is crucial to ascertain the nature and origin of the primary carriers available to participate in pairing. Recent quantum oscillation experiments on high-transition-temperature (high-T(c)) copper oxide superconductors have revealed the existence of a Fermi surface akin to that in normal metals, comprising fermionic carriers that undergo orbital quantization. The unexpectedly small size of the observed carrier pocket, however, leaves open a variety of possibilities for the existence or form of any underlying magnetic order, and its relation to d-wave superconductivity. Here we report experiments on quantum oscillations in the magnetization (the de Haas-van Alphen effect) in superconducting YBa(2)Cu(3)O(6.51) that reveal more than one carrier pocket. In particular, we find evidence for the existence of a much larger pocket of heavier mass carriers playing a thermodynamically dominant role in this hole-doped superconductor. Importantly, characteristics of the multiple pockets within this more complete Fermi surface impose constraints on the wavevector of any underlying order and the location of the carriers in momentum space. These constraints enable us to construct a possible density-wave model with spiral or related modulated magnetic order, consistent with experimental observations.  相似文献
