浅谈当代高校大学生的英语阅读

古人云，开卷有益，就是告诉我们阅读有很多的好处，多读书，不仅可以充实自己，还可以增加知识，开拓眼界，增长见闻。英语阅读，对于英语学习者来说，重要性也是显而易见的。该文通过对当代大学生英语阅读现状存在的问题进行分析，其中包括学生自身存在的问题，传统的教学方法和考试模式等因素制约着学生在英语方面进行有目的有意义的自主的大量阅读，进而笔者在此有针对性提出相应的对策和方法。     

专门用途英语学习视角下学生职业需求能力培养

该文从大学英语教学的现状入手,分析英语课程模式设置改革的必要性,进而逐步实现英语教学向实用化、专业化、个性化的等方面发展;针对不同专业的学生,根据本校的教学规划和未来职业发展的需求,构建合理的ESP课程模式;使学生学会用英语解决自己的生活,学习领域的实际问题,满足未来的职业需求,创造更广阔的就业前景.     

以网络为平台的英语自主学习的调查与启示

网络的发展和普及,为大学生的英语自主学习提供了更多的便利条件。特别是以校园局域网及因特网作为辅助教学手段,培养学生的英语综合应用能力,增强学生的自主学习能力,已经成为外语教学改革的一个重点。但对于习惯了传统教学的学生来说,是否能够适应这种转变？这种改革需要注意哪些问题？笔者在此作出了一些调查,并得到了一些启示,提出了一些改进的建议。     

The Tragedy of Tess

The beautiful and warm-hearted girl,Tess of the D’urbervilles was Thomas Hardy’s masterpiece.In this novel,Hardy described a beautiful and warm hearted girl’s experience.As we take pity on her,we can’t restrain ourselves from wondering what caused her tragedy.The capitalist moral bias and hypocritical martial system were the main reasons.Of course,there were also other related factors,which worked together:this pure girl became the sacrifice of that society.     

On the Use of Comic Irony of Pride and Prejudice

" Pride and Prejudice" is one of Jane Austen's masterpieces. It is universally read from its magnificent opening sentence to the end and we can feel its author is great and the novel is well constructed. In the most striking place, the use of comic irony makes us feel the comedy and satire of the whole novel and also the most shining people Elizabeth Bennet who gains the most admiration in print. From it, we can also appreciate the love and marriage between the ladies and gentlemen of the landed gentry; the complicated pride and prejudice between the hero and heroine which make the novel more vivid and believable and the characters more truthful than ever; the author's mastery of language and the great achievement of the novel.
