A study on the pharmacokinetics in mouse of adenine-9-beta-D-arabinofuranoside 5-monophosphate conjugated with lactosaminated albumin

In plasma of mice injected with adenine-9-beta-D-arabinofuranoside monophosphate (ara-AMP) coupled to human lactosaminated serum albumin (L-HSA) some of the ara-AMP molecules are enzymatically released, whereas others remain linked to L-HSA. Evidence has been obtained that ara-AMP is not deaminated when it is conjugated to L-HSA, in contrast to the free drug which is rapidly metabolized to its hypoxanthine derivative.     

An electrochemical and microstructural characterization of steel-mortar admixed with corrosion inhibitors

The present research brings new insights on the role of admixed corrosion inhibitors in the processes of cement hydration and rebar corrosion.The admixing of NaCl and the corrosion inhibitors in fresh mortar was found to alter the morphology and microstructure of the hardened mortar at the steel-mortar interfacial region.The admixing of the inhibitors increased the risk of carbonation of cement hydrates at the steel-mortar interfacial region,but partially displaced chloride ions. Preliminary studies on the metabolism of vacuolated cells following hypoxia

Riassunto È stato studiato il metabolismo ossidativo di fette di fegato di ratto in degenerazione vacuolare da ipossia. Si è rilevata una diminuzione del quoziente respiratorio, mentre il consumo globale di ossigeno, senza substrati o in presenza di ottanoato o di succinato, rimane invariato. Nei fegati degli animali tenuti in ipossia si ha diminuzione del P labile (ATP, ADP) e dei P totali.
