Zusammenfassung An ultradünnen Schnittpr?paraten von Speicheldrüsenchromosomen (Drosophila melanogaster) und an entsprechenden Quetschpr?paraten (Drosophila virilis) wurde elektronenmikroskopisch festgestellt: Die Chromomeren und Chromonemata bestehen aus Filamenten mit Schraubenwindungen vom ?paran?mischen? Typus. Es ist wahrscheinlich, dass die Windungen der beiden Filamente in der entgegengesetzten Richtung ranken.

Functions of nuclear bodies as revealed by ultrastructural autoradiography and cytochemistry

Summary The simple nuclear body containing a few RNA particles appears through the nuclear pores in the cytoplasm, originating from the nucleolus. The complex nuclear body consisting mainly of RNA components is highly active in the incorporation of RNA precursors. Accordingly, the appearance of nuclear bodies may be related either to transport to the cytoplasm of nucleolar components or to the enhancement of rRNA synthesis.     

A comparative study of the innervation of the choroid plexus in amphibia

Summary The aminergic and cholinergic innervation of choroid plexuses in three species of amphibia was investigated. Plexuses of the Japanese toad and the bullfrog had poor innervation by adrenergic nerves of sympathetic origin, but in the clawed toad, these plexuses were heavily innervated by adrenergic axons from ganglion cells located in the plexus stroma. Nerve fibers positive for acetylcholinesterase were not found in the plexuses, except for a few fibers with very weak enzyme activity in the clawed toad.Acknowledgment. On the ultrastructure of the carp erythrocyte

Zusammenfassung An den ultradünnen Schnittpräparaten von Erythrozyten der KarauscheCarassius auratus wurde ihre submikroskopische Struktur mit dem Elektronenmikroskop sowie auch mit dem Lichtmikroskop untersucht. Im Cytoplasma der Erythrocyten kann man immer die undurchsichtigen Granula beobachten, welche durch ein feines Kanälchen in Zusammenhang mit der Zell- und Kernmembran stehen. Es ist festgestellt, dass der Kern aus achromatischen Fäden mit Schraubenwindung, undurchsichtigen Chromatingranula und Kernmembran von Doppelnatur besteht. Die Befunde der Schnitte stimmen mit den schon früher vonYasuzumi und seinen Mitarbeitern nachgewiesenen Resultaten überein.
